  1. The Graduate Student’s Association (GSA) has arranged for graduate students to apply for a fund that students may receive as a result of unexpected emergency /compassionate circumstances. The fund provides a maximum of $400 for expenses that are incurred due to extenuating circumstances. These include:
    • Dental and Vision emergencies
    • Cane, cast, crutches, splints, wheelchair rentals
    • Hospital expenses
    • Any medical emergency expenses for children not covered by OHIP and UHIP.
    • Emergency Transportation (This criterion is limited to in-town and in-province travel for emergencies) Car rental, Cab fare, public transportation.
    • Other compassionate/emergency reasons.

Graduate students may contact GSA VP Finance ([email protected]) or GSA Administrative Assistant ([email protected]) prior to making an application for support. If additional support is needed, the VP of Finance will assist students in finding other sources of funding that students are eligible for.
